As a key member of our faculty team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality instruction and creating a dynamic learning environment for our students.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teaching and Instruction: Deliver learning-centered instruction by establishing a classroom/laboratory environment conducive to learning and student involvement, effectively planning and preparing for classes, and promoting student success.
  • Course Development: Adequately prepare all course materials and lessons, including an appropriate course syllabus clearly describing course expectations.
  • Assessment and Evaluation: Provide appropriate course assessments designed to adequately assess students' learning in connection with Xavier's Core Curriculum.
  • Technology Integration: Utilize Xavier's campus-wide academic program, Canvas, to provide course information and an electronic record of students' progress on a regular basis.
Requirements
  • A master's or terminal degree in Exercise Science, Kinesiology, Exercise Physiology, Biomechanics, Nutrition, Athletic Training, Sports Medicine, or Motor Behavior, or 18 credit hours of graduate work in a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in exercise science and a relevant certification in the field, or previous teaching experience at an accredited college or university.
  • Preferred qualifications include work or teaching experience using exercise assessment devices for health-related fitness.
Work Environment

This position will include teaching two labs on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3:00PM - 4:50PM. Contracts for adjunct faculty members are issued on a semester basis.
