Job Summary:

Goodwill Central Oklahoma is seeking a reliable and skilled driver to transport donated goods, new goods, and target products. The ideal candidate will have a valid Class B CDL, a clean driving record, and the ability to lift 50-100 pounds.

Essential Job Functions:
  • Deliver donations, equipment, and supplies to Goodwill stores.
  • Pick up salvage and trash from stores and bring it back to the main plant.
  • Maintain a daily log of activities.
  • Load and unload trucks.
  • Make special pickups on Saturday or Sunday.
  • Pick up and delivery of interoffice correspondence between the plant and stores.
  • Assist in production or warehousing when time allows.
  • Abide by the policies and procedures set forth by management and of GICO.
  • Attend all trainings as necessary.
  • Review and be familiar with Goodwill Industries of Central OK safety policies, programs, and procedures.
  • Adhere to all safety rules, regulations, and safety codes, and attend safety training sessions and necessary safety meetings.
  • Consult with company drivers to ensure timeliness and route efficiency.
  • Punctual and dependable attendance.
  • Professional manner with customers, co-workers, and public.
Additional Responsibilities:
  • Perform other duties as required.
Working Conditions:
  • Work in variable climate outside, including severe weather conditions.
  • Work in a warehouse that may contain allergens such as dust and pollens.
  • Can be stressful in bad weather driving conditions.
  • Can be stressful driving busy times of the year due to work overload.
Qualifications:
  • High School degree or GED, preferred.
  • Previous driving experience, preferred.
  • Must be 21 years old.
  • Valid Class B CDL, required.
  • Must pass MVR check and maintain a good driving record.
  • Must be able to drive a standard (manual shift) truck.
  • Must pass driver assessment.
  • Ability to speak, read, and write the English language.
  • Reliable transportation and communication, required.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Clear communication skills with supervisor and store personnel, as well as with the public at times.
  • Ability to get along with helper and work well together and other co-workers. Able to take orders and follow instructions from Supervisor.

  • Professional manner with customers, co-workers, and public.
