Position Overview

The On-Demand Childcare Facilitator will provide essential childcare services for members attending various events, study sessions, and classes during periods when scheduled Children's Ministry activities are not in place, across different times of the day.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Create a safe and inviting atmosphere at the start of each shift.
  • Welcome children upon arrival, ensuring proper check-in procedures are followed.
  • Foster a nurturing environment, treating each child with kindness and compassion.
  • Adhere to established protocols for diapering, restroom safety, food handling, and overall health and safety measures.
  • Release children solely to their parent or authorized guardian.
  • Maintain cleanliness of play areas and materials, ensuring they are sanitized and stored correctly.
  • Promptly inform the Supervisor of any classroom supply shortages.
  • Report any concerns regarding children, volunteers, or guardians to the Supervisor in a timely manner.
  • Engage in effective communication with both children and their parents.

Employment Classification:

  • Part-Time, Non-Exempt

Reporting Structure:

  • Reports directly to the Discipleship Director.
  • Collaborates with Family Ministries.

Commitment Requirements:

0-10 hours per week, including:

  • Participation in all required training sessions.
  • Active involvement in community worship gatherings.
  • Compensation: $16 per hour.

Qualifications:

  • Alignment with the organization's Statement of Faith, Mission, and Values.
  • Completion of Livescan background check.
  • Must have been a regular attendee for a minimum of six months prior to employment.
  • Previous experience in childcare settings.
  • Current CPR and First Aid Certification or equivalent babysitting credential.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Must be at least 16 years of age.
  • Strong interpersonal skills: courteous, responsible, caring, calm under pressure, and friendly.
