About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Specialist to join our team at Vinfen. In this role, you will provide direct support to individuals with brain injury or behavioral conditions in a residential setting.

You will work collaboratively with our clients, their families, friends, employers, and other support staff to empower them to achieve their goals and improve their quality of life.

Responsibilities
  • Administer medication according to the Medication Administration Plan (MAP)
  • Implement treatment plans tailored to individual needs
  • Assist with activities of daily living, promoting independence and dignity
  • Perform nightly cleaning and filing duties
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor's degree in a Human Services field preferred
  • Experience working with people with developmental disabilities, behavioral conditions, and/or brain injury an asset
  • Strong time management and writing skills essential
  • Current, valid US driver's license required; ability to become CPR/First Aid certified within 2 weeks of employment
  • Ability to pass CORI, reference, national fingerprinting, and driving record checks
