Physician - Primary Care Specialist

This is an exciting opportunity to join the VETERANS HEALTH ADMINISTRATION as a Primary Care Physician. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care and lead our team in delivering exceptional healthcare services.
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care, including history and physicals, medication management, and treatment planning.
- Lead our team in delivering patient-centered care, emphasizing a team-based approach to healthcare.
- Utilize clinical tools, such as registries, to identify and intervene with individual patients and cohorts.
- Ensure timely evaluation and access for patients assigned to your panel.
- Function at the full extent of your clinical privileges, credentials, and scopes of practice.
- Participate in team performance improvement and sustainment activities to optimize care delivery.
- U.S. citizenship or non-citizenship with eligibility for appointment under VA policy.
- Current, full, and unrestricted license to practice medicine or surgery in a State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States, or in the District of Columbia.
- Residency training approved by the Secretary of Veterans Affairs in an accredited core specialty training program leading to eligibility for board certification.
- Proficiency in spoken and written English.
