Boom and Crane Specialist

As a Boom and Crane Specialist at Builders FirstSource, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient movement of heavy construction materials on our job sites.

Key Responsibilities
- Operate boom and/or crane equipment to move heavy construction materials into specific areas of the yard or onto delivery trucks.
- Perform pre-operational inspections and maintenance of boom/crane equipment to ensure safety and prevent damage.
- Moves material into specific areas of the yard or hoist material onto the delivery truck.
- Ride along with Driver to assist in the unloading of material at the customer site.
- Calculates the boom/crane capacities and weights and checks clearances to prevent damage during operation.
- Plans and paces own work efficiency to meet daily, weekly, project, or team-related productivity goals.
- Understands and observes all safety procedures and practices to prevent injury to self or co-workers.
Requirements
- High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED) and two years of boom and/or crane operation experience, or equivalent combination of education, training, or experience.
- Boom or Crane Operator certification required.
Salary and Benefits
$65,000 - $85,000 per year, plus a comprehensive benefits package including health insurance, retirement plan, and paid time off.
