Senior Financial Operations Manager
About the Role:
We're seeking a highly skilled Senior Financial Operations Manager to lead our finance team in Berlin, CT. As a key member of our organization, you'll oversee day-to-day accounting operations, manage a small team, and ensure accurate financial reporting.
Compensation:
$95,000 - $115,000/year, with performance bonuses possible.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and mentor a team of accountants, guiding them, setting goals, and conducting regular performance evaluations.
- Oversee and manage the general ledger, ensuring timely completion of month-end and year-end close processes.
- Prepare and review financial statements and management reports, providing insights to executive leadership.
- Manage budgeting and forecasting processes, working closely with department heads to track financial performance.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, company policies, and accounting standards.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements within the accounting department and implement best practices to enhance efficiency.
- Collaborate with HR and other departments to maintain an accurate payroll and benefits record, including processing and reviewing accruals.
- Support the finance director in strategic planning, analyzing growth opportunities and financial trends.
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field (Master's or CPA preferred).
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to communicate complex financial concepts clearly.
- Demonstrated experience in process improvement, team management, and strategic planning.
