About the PositionWe are seeking a Certified SUD/AOD Journey Counselor to support our community by delivering face-to-face rehabilitative programming services in the Integrated Substance Use Disorder Treatment Program (ISUDTP). As a Journey Counselor, you will be responsible for delivering treatment services, reviewing treatment plans, evaluating and recording treatment progress, and participating in training and technical assistance programs.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver treatment services to participants
- Review treatment plans and evaluate treatment progress
- Record visible changes in appearance, behavior, and demeanor of program participants
- Participate in monthly, block, cross-training, curriculum training, technical assistance training, or other training as appropriate
- A Master's Degree in a social service-related field and registration with an AOD certifying organization recognized by DHCS
- A Bachelor's Degree in a social service-related field and ONE (1) year of certified experience providing SUDT services as a AOD counselor
- An Associates' Degree in a social service-related field, AOD certified, and THREE (3) years of certified experience providing SUDT services as a AOD Counselor
- AOD certified and more than FIVE (5) years of certified experience providing certified SUDT services as a certified AOD counselor
