Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and treat patients with complex medical conditions, utilizing advanced diagnostic and treatment skills to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Coordinate discharge planning with case management teams to ensure seamless transitions of care.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve cost-effectiveness and quality of care, working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to achieve desired outcomes.
- Accept patient referrals from other physicians and provide consulting services as needed, ensuring timely and effective care for patients requiring hospitalization.
- Provide accurate and comprehensive documentation to meet insurance company requirements, and appeal denials in a timely and professional manner.
- Participate in inpatient and outpatient consultations, including on-call schedules, to ensure 24/7 coverage and exceptional patient care.
Requirements:
- Board Certified/Board Eligible Physician (MD/DO) licensed by New York State prior to hire date.
- Advanced Life Support certification preferred.
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree from an accredited institution.
Working Conditions:
- Work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with minimal supervision, requiring critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work effectively under pressure.
- Follow Standard Precautions and use personal protective equipment as required to ensure a safe working environment.
