Hiring Details:At St. Mary\u0027s Health Care, we are seeking a skilled Urologist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in medical diagnostics and treatment, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Evaluates and treats patients with appropriate medical diagnostic and treatment skills.
Coordinates discharge planning with case management.
- Recommends, participates in, and works to ensure the success of efforts to improve cost effectiveness and quality of care provided to patients.
- Accepts patient referrals from other physicians. Acts as consulting physician for patients who require hospitalization for primary medical diagnoses, depending on needs of patients, medical staff and hospital.
- Provides appropriate documentation that meets insurance company requirements; appeal all denials in a timely manner.
- Participates in inpatient and outpatient consultation for specialty, which may include on call schedules.
Complexity of Work:
- Within scope of job, requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment.
Personal Protective Equipment:
- Follows Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
- Required Credential(s):
- Board Certified/Board Eligible Physician (MD/DO) licensed by New York State prior to hire date
- Preferred Credential(s):
- Advanced Life Support.
Education:
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO)
