About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Specialist in Neurology to join our team at Mayo Foundation for Medical Education and Research. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for promoting our core values and supporting community-based healthcare and integrated delivery systems through the sale of Mayo Medical Laboratories (MCL) tests.

Key Responsibilities
  • Sales and Business Development: Generate new business revenue and co-develop with clients their specific account and/or test selling and promotional strategies.
  • Market Analysis and Planning: Collaborate with the CSR Director, Regional Director of Sales, Regional Managers, and clients to project annual sales growth, market dynamics, and economic conditions. Co-develop and implement business plans for territory/accounts.
  • Sales Strategy and Execution: Effectively sell and compel buying influences to move testing to Mayo and their clients by differentiating from competing interests. Coordinate appropriate resources, develop presentations, and participate in the bid process for new and upsell opportunities.
  • Upselling and Cross-Selling: Identify specific tests or groups of tests that are differentiated in the market and pursue upsells to targeted clients. Negotiate pricing, coordinate contract development and execution, and monitor the accurate lock-in of prices.
  • Travel and Communication: Up to 80% travel is expected in this position, requiring extensive travel and hours outside of normal business hours.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree and three years' experience in sales, preferably within the market segment represented (e.g., Neurology), physician/client-facing contact, or negotiating contracts within a hospital or laboratory setting.
  • Location: This position requires the incumbent to work from an office in their home located within the territory of support: Dallas, TX.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Advanced Education: Master's in business, medical technology, or sciences preferred.
  • Skills and Abilities: Excellent human relations, management, and communications skills. Ability to manage several projects or tasks simultaneously and exercise appropriate judgment when prioritizing projects. Decision-making and problem-solving ability, adherence to Mayo Clinic and MCS policies and procedures.
  • License or Certification: Valid driver's license and a good driving record are required, along with the ability to travel extensively on all forms of major public transportation. FACHE certification preferred.
Compensation and Benefits

The position ranges from $70,512 - $105,747.20/year with a commission add-on component as well. Benefits eligibility: Yes. Schedule: Full Time. Hours/Pay Period: 80. This opportunity requires extensive travel and hours outside of normal business hours.
