Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Food Services Specialist to join our team at SpaceX. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, maintaining a clean and safe food preparation environment, and supporting the production and service of quality food and beverage options.

Key Responsibilities
  • Food Preparation and Service: Assist with food preparation, meal delivery, and serving guests in a fast-paced environment.
  • Cleanliness and Sanitation: Ensure cleanliness in all on-site dining areas, maintain beverage stations, food sales locations, and break areas, and support proper product rotation and storage according to food safety requirements.
  • Inventory Management: Follow stocking routes, track inventory, and receive and distribute product around the site as instructed by leadership.
  • Team Support: Help the team meet time and quality standards set by supervisor, and setup, maintain, and breakdown a daily workstation within a kitchen or service environment.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalency certificate.
  • Experience: 2+ years of experience in food preparation, customer service, or other food services support roles.
  • Skills: Ability to take initiative in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, possession or willingness to obtain food handler's card, experience working in a high-volume output environment, basic computer skills (Microsoft Office, Excel, and Outlook primarily), sound understanding of food safety and sanitation practices, and strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
Additional Requirements
  • Availability: Ability to work all shifts and available for overtime and weekends, as needed.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to carry large heavy items, such as dishes in tubs or trays unassisted (up to 25 lbs.), ability to stand for long periods of time - up to 10 hours a day, and ability to perform frequent bending, stooping, and lifting of objects.
