Nurse Practitioner

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Operating Room team at Nuvance Health. As a key member of our team, you will provide direct and indirect nursing care to patients undergoing surgical procedures.
Responsibilities- Conduct thorough preoperative assessments of patients to identify potential safety risks and develop effective care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, ensuring adherence to the 5 Rights of Medication Administration.
- Collaborate with anesthesia, CST, RN, PA, and surgeons to ensure seamless care delivery.
- Assess learning needs of patients and families, providing education and support to promote a positive patient experience.
- Delegate tasks effectively, ensuring the delivery of high-quality care while promoting a positive work environment.
- Document patient information accurately and thoroughly, adhering to Nursing Standards of Practice.
- Current RN license to practice in the State of Connecticut.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (CPR) certification.
- ACLS, PALS, and ENPC certifications.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities.
This role requires manual dexterity, significant occupational risk, and the ability to exert up to 50 pounds of force. The working environment may involve exposure to dirt, odors, noise, and human waste.
