We are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team at Student Transportation of America. As a Diesel Mechanic, you will be responsible for performing complex repairs and maintenance on large commercial vehicles.
Key Responsibilities- Perform thorough, accurate preventative maintenance inspections
- Complete all required maintenance operations, including lubrication, fluid changes, brake adjustments, and tire rotation
- Perform unscheduled maintenance as needed, under the direction of the Fleet Maintenance Supervisor
- Diagnose and repair mechanical defects, interpreting and working from technical materials
- Document repairs and parts on work orders completely and accurately
- Maintain tools and workplaces in a neat and orderly condition
- 2+ years of experience as a diesel mechanic or mechanic
- Accreditation from a school or certification program
- Complete all training requirements
- Pass a pre-employment background check
