Penn State Health is seeking a skilled Medical Assistant to join our team in Mount Joy, Pennsylvania.

Job Summary

We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Medical Assistant to provide exceptional patient care and support our healthcare team. As a Medical Assistant, you will be responsible for assisting with various health care services, obtaining specimens, conducting routine lab studies, and performing administrative tasks such as coordinating patient flow and scheduling appointments.

Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality patient care and support to our healthcare team
  • Assist with various health care services, including obtaining specimens and conducting routine lab studies
  • Perform administrative tasks, such as coordinating patient flow and scheduling appointments
  • Meet current eligibility to sit for the exam with attainment of certification or registration through one of the Penn State Health approved agencies for Medical Assistants within 90-days of employment date
  • Current active status as a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) through one of the Penn State Health approved agencies for Medical Assistant certification
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent required
  • Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant Program
  • Previous outpatient experience preferred
