Position Overview:
The Mortgage Loan Officer 3 is responsible for originating a variety of mortgage products including Portfolio, Conventional, FHA/VA, Jumbo, and Construction loans for members of TDECU.

This role is pivotal in enhancing TDECU's mortgage sales through various channels such as branch referrals, realtor and builder connections, as well as telephone and online inquiries, all while ensuring a superior member experience.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and sustain referral partnerships with a network of realtors, builders, and members, leveraging the TDECU member base.
  • Accurately gather and input loan applications into the mortgage processing system, ensuring all necessary disclosures are provided and required documentation is obtained.
  • Conduct pre-qualification assessments for members based on the selected mortgage program/product, aligning them with the most suitable TDECU mortgage offerings.
  • Negotiate loan terms and conditions with members in compliance with Credit Union policies and procedures.
  • Secure loan locks for members in accordance with TDECU guidelines, maintaining comprehensive knowledge of all mortgage products and associated documentation.
Qualifications:
Education:
High School Diploma or GED required.
Experience:
A minimum of 4 years as a Mortgage Loan Officer with a demonstrated history of success is essential. Experience with conventional, FHA, VA, and jumbo mortgage products is highly preferred.

Candidates must qualify for NMLS licensing, comply with the Safe Act, and be eligible for licensing in the state where loans will be originated. An NMLS registration number is mandatory.

Adherence to SAFE Act regulations, which necessitate annual registration as a Mortgage Loan Originator (MLO).
Flexibility to adapt to a dynamic work environment
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented setting
Proficiency in utilizing various software and technology applications
