Job Overview

ENGEO is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our accounting team. As a key member of our financial operations, you will play a critical role in supporting senior accounting professionals with tracking and reporting key financial information vital to our ongoing operations and success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with full cycle accounts payable, accounts receivable, and invoicing processes.
  • Compile and analyze data sets to identify relevant patterns and financial indicators.
  • Perform internal expense audits to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Conduct office lease reconciliations and bank reconciliations to maintain financial integrity.
  • Review time and expenses for accuracy and process prevailing wage/certified payroll requests.
  • Assist with multiplier billing rates in accordance with Caltrans and FAR guidelines.
  • Support annual audits and other related duties as assigned.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience, preferably in the AEC industry.
  • Proven knowledge of GAAP accounting principles.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Excellent organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to identify opportunities to automate and enhance our financial processes.
  • A strong team player with a passion for accounting and finance.
