About the Role

  • Oversee a team of up to eight AML surveillance agents, ensuring effective monitoring of transaction activity and investigation of suspicious behavior.
  • Conduct thorough interviews, make informed hiring recommendations, and manage salary and promotion decisions.
  • Track team performance, establish clear goals, and provide ongoing supervision and support to drive success.
  • Assist in quality control processes and ensure staff receive comprehensive training to stay up-to-date with industry developments.
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of financial activities, regulatory requirements, and implement appropriate operational procedures to mitigate risks.
  • Manage workflow, assign tasks, and act as an escalation point for complex issues, ensuring seamless collaboration with other AML departments.
  • Collaborate with internal partners to maintain superior customer service and drive business growth.
  • Assist in analyzing trends and implementing strategies to mitigate risks, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as criminal justice, business, or a related field. Relevant certifications, such as CFE, are highly valued.
  • 3-5 years of investigative experience with a focus on BSA/AML and fraud prevention.
  • 3+ years of managerial experience involving supervision of professional staff.
  • Strong communication skills and expertise in BSA/AML laws and regulations.
  • Proficiency in using automated monitoring systems and understanding bank products and services.
