Job Overview

This position is responsible for developing and implementing facilities engineering and maintenance programs across client portfolio sites. You will oversee and manage the engineering operations for our clients' facilities, ensuring efficient and reliable performance of critical systems and equipment.

About the Role

As a Mechanical Engineering Team Lead, you will:

  • Manage daily operations of engineering teams, focusing on efficient and reliable performance of critical systems and equipment.
  • Perform facilities condition assessments of building portfolios and associated infrastructure.
  • Risk assessment for planned projects and maintenance work to mitigate impacts on operations.
  • Analyze data from building management systems (BMS) and site assessments to determine capacity and utilization of mechanical and process systems.
  • Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) to identify fundamental design, operational, or maintenance issues and recommend improvements.
  • Design reviews for infrastructure and tenant improvement (TI) projects to ensure compliance with relevant standards and stakeholder expectations.
  • Proactively identify process deficiencies and implement improvements.
  • Verify internal records and databases through ongoing quality assurance/quality control.
  • Present reports to stakeholders to drive effective solutions.
  • Represent clients on project teams to address stakeholder requirements and resolve issues effectively.
  • Recommend new processes and changes to existing ones to demonstrate continuous improvement.
  • Coordinate engineering team resources to meet program and service expectations.

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you should possess:

  • A Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or a related field.
  • At least 10 years of experience in mechanical engineering.
  • Experience with HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection equipment and systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to organize and manage multiple simultaneous projects.
  • Demonstrated experience in HVAC engineering fundamentals, including trend analysis.
  • Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a high-performing team.
  • Understanding of safety, regulatory, and industry standards related to building engineering operations.
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Prior experience leading engineering teams, certification in engineering or industry fields, and experience with Building Management Systems are preferred qualifications.

We provide a competitive compensation package, including an estimated total compensation of $140,000.00 - $176,000.00 per year.
