Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Youth Care Specialist to join our team at Wedgwood Christian Services. As a key member of our residential care team, you will play a vital role in providing a safe and supportive environment for youth in our care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Implement individualized treatment plans to meet the unique needs of each youth
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of each child, managing tasks and creating a warm and loving home environment
  • Coordinate with the Program BCBA to implement focused behavioral interventions based on the principles of applied behavior analysis (ABA)
  • Facilitate social interactions and design engaging daily activities to promote positive relationships and personal growth
  • Collaborate with the care team to provide comprehensive support and services to youth
Requirements
  • High school diploma required; additional education and/or certification in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or a related field preferred
  • Prior experience supervising at-risk youth is preferred
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs. non-stationary weight through the approved technique is required
  • Subscription to the Statement of Faith of Wedgwood Christian Services and agreement with the goal, purpose, and objective of the agency
