The Sun Medical Dermatology Territory Manager is responsible for promoting Sun's branded dermatology portfolio and optimizing business opportunities in targeted physician offices, key clinics, and institutions specializing in medical dermatology. This role requires excellence in developing and implementing territory business plans to achieve sales goals and objectives. The Territory Manager will collaborate with the HQ Commercial Team and field-based employees to drive acceptance of promoted products within a designated business area and geography.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement territory business plans to achieve sales goals and objectives.
- Collaborate with the HQ Commercial Team and field-based employees to drive acceptance of promoted products.
- Coordinate and integrate with key stakeholders to optimize business opportunities.
- Manage promotional budgets within the territory.
- Meet monthly, quarterly, and annual sales goals.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree.
- Pharmaceutical and/or medical device sales experience.
- Strong communication skills and business acumen.
- Ability to collaborate, innovate, adapt, and deliver results.
- Valid driver's license.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 5+ years of pharmaceutical sales experience.
- 3+ years of medical dermatology sales experience.
- Experience selling products in a complex Market Access environment.
- Experience promoting high-science products.
- Product launch experience.
- Experience selling in a highly competitive environment.
Personal Skills/Attributes:
This individual must have a positive attitude and be adaptable to a dynamic environment while maintaining focus on achieving territory business goals. They should be highly motivated and highly professional, capable of building trust with their matrix team and transparent, ethical, and compliant in all their activities. They should be proficient at selling and presenting detailed scientific subject matter in a clear and understandable fashion.
General Responsibilities/Decision Making Authority:
- Reports directly to the Regional Sales Manager.
- Responsible for understanding and leveraging CRM, sales data, and reports.
- Responsible for timely call reporting and expense reporting.
- Responsible for managing promotional budgets within their territory.
- Responsible for meeting monthly, quarterly, and annual sales goals.
- Reports to Regional Sales Manager.
- Interacts at multiple levels inside and outside the company. Tact, diplomacy, and a high level of professionalism are essential.
