Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Relay Protection Specialist to join our team at Con Edison. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safe and reliable operation of our power system.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement relay protection schemes to prevent power system faults
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and test new protection systems
  • Provide technical support and training to operations personnel
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices in relay protection

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in relay protection or related field
  • Strong knowledge of power system protection principles and practices
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
  • Experience with Protection Suite and/or various relay software
  • Knowledge of NERC CIP Standards
