Executive Chef

Job Title: Cook - SEARHC - Sitka, AK

**Job Summary**

We are seeking a skilled Cook to join our team at SEARHC in Sitka, AK. As a Cook, you will be responsible for preparing a variety of food according to production guidelines and standardized recipes.

**Responsibilities**

Prepare and cook food according to production guidelines and standardized recipes
Set up workstation with all needed ingredients and equipment
Prepare ingredients by measuring, weighing, mixing, chopping, trimming, and peeling food items
Safely use a variety of utensils including knives
Operate equipment such as ovens, stoves, slicers, mixers, etc.
Bake, roast, broil, steam, and use a variety of cooking methods on meat, vegetables, and other foods
Arrange, garnish, and portion food according to established guidelines
Properly store food by adhering to food safety policies and procedures
Clean and sanitize work areas, equipment, and utensils
Maintain excellent customer service and positive demeanor towards guests, customers, clients, co-workers, etc.

**Requirements**

Experience as a cook or in a related role required
Validated knowledge of the basic principles of food preparation, various cooking methods, and food safety regulations such as accurate food handling, sanitation, and storage
Must be able to acquire food safety certification
Demonstrate basic math and counting skills
Demonstrate interpersonal communication skills, both written and verbal
