Position Overview:

We are in search of a dedicated Grants Accountant to become a vital member of our organization. In this role, you will be instrumental in overseeing the financial components of our grant operations.

Your primary responsibilities will include ensuring precise and prompt reporting of grant-related income, expenditures, and receivables, while also ensuring adherence to grant stipulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Utilize accounting principles to generate detailed reports on expenditures.
  • Prepare and present detailed billing invoices for clients involved in Grant and Federal funding agreements.
  • Collaborate with the executive team to draft, review, and submit grant proposals.
  • Monitor and assess grant expenditures to guarantee compliance with established requirements.
  • Maintain comprehensive accounting records of grant income and costs.
  • Compile financial reports for the Grants Manager.
  • Conduct regular audits of grant-related documentation and implement necessary adjustments.
  • Work alongside program managers and staff to collect essential financial data for grant reporting.
  • Assist in the formulation of project budgets and track any budgetary discrepancies.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in grants accounting or a related discipline.
  • In-depth knowledge of grant regulations and accounting standards.
  • Proficiency in financial management software and Microsoft Excel.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Capacity to work autonomously and adhere to deadlines.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy in financial documentation.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
