Role Overview
At Microsoft Corporation, we're committed to empowering every person and organization on the planet to achieve more. As a Senior Firmware Engineer, you'll be part of our Azure Hardware Systems and Infrastructure (AHSI) team, which is responsible for delivering the core infrastructure and foundational technologies for our cloud businesses.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in firmware development, with experience in designing and developing security accelerators and Root of Trust firmware. You'll work closely with our cross-functional teams to participate in all phases of product architecture, design, and implementation.

We're looking for someone who can define architecture and design of bootloader and embedded kernel during the design phase, develop firmware including initialization code, boot loader, drivers, protocols, and feature development for low-level embedded systems. You'll also be responsible for debugging and resolving issues spanning multiple subsystems, as well as possessing problem-solving, debugging, and troubleshooting skills, advanced design and development skills.

Responsibilities
  • Design and develop security accelerators and Root of Trust firmware.
  • Participate in all phases of product architecture, design, and implementation for security accelerators and SOC.
  • Define architecture and design of bootloader and embedded kernel during the design phase.
  • Develop firmware, including initialization code, boot loader, drivers, protocols, and feature development for low-level embedded systems.
