About the Role

The Mechanical Licensing Collective (MLC) is seeking a highly skilled Rights Management Associate to join our team. As a Rights Management Associate, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our data and processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Research and Resolution: Conduct thorough research and analysis to resolve copyright and royalty issues, ensuring accurate and timely resolution.
  • Payee Review and Debits/Credits: Engage in the distribution payee review process to identify and resolve variances, and manage debits and credits to ensure accurate financial transactions.
  • Operational KPIs and Service Levels: Track and analyze operational KPIs to ensure service levels are met, and identify areas for improvement.
  • Publisher Support and Outreach: Conduct outreach and communications with MLC members, tracking situations and feedback from publishers, and providing support to resolve issues.
  • Copyright and Royalty Analysis: Conduct research, review, and resolve copyright and royalty issues related to musical works, and analyze data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
  • Experience: One-year experience in music publishing administration, copyright, or a related field.
  • Skills: Strong analytical and Excel skills, excellent communication skills, and strong attention to detail.
