Position Overview:

Soliant Education is seeking a skilled and experienced School Sign Language Interpreter (SLI) to join our dedicated team. We are looking for a professional who is fluent in American Sign Language (ASL) and is committed to fostering effective communication for students who are deaf or hard of hearing.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide interpretation and transliteration services within educational environments.
  • Facilitate communication between deaf or hard of hearing students, educators, and peers.
  • Assist students in understanding classroom instructions, discussions, and activities.
  • Uphold confidentiality and professionalism in all interpreting duties.
  • Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to support student success.
Qualifications:
  • Must possess Educational Interpreter Performance Assessment (EIPA) certification.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL).
  • Prior experience as a School Sign Language Interpreter in educational settings is preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Able to adapt to diverse educational environments and student needs.
