We are looking for an experienced Special Education Instructor who holds valid certification in the relevant state to engage in a school environment. This role is a full-time contract position.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement lesson plans aligned with established Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
- Guide the educational process to achieve curriculum objectives; set clear goals for all lessons and communicate these effectively to students.
- Assess and evaluate both academic and social competencies of students.
- Assist in the development and ongoing assessment of IEPs for students in their classroom, making necessary updates based on evaluations and annual reviews.
- Maintain open communication with students' educators and families regarding student progress and needs.
- Review and analyze student records, assessments, and relevant documentation.
Qualifications:
- Certification in Special Education from the state is mandatory.
- Familiarity with IEP processes is essential.
- Must not have been employed by the local education department within the past year.
- B-2 certification is required.
