Job Description:

Microreplication and Film Coating Process Engineer

This role provides an opportunity to collaborate with innovative 3Mers worldwide, driving the development of market-disrupting products through novel microreplication and nanoreplication tooling technology, as well as multi-layer optical film (MOF) coating processes.

The Impact You'll Make:

  • Develop process advancements enabling new product introductions
  • Lead coating process experiments in lab, pilot, and factory settings
  • Generate prototype film samples for commercial sampling
  • Interact with NTI/NPI teams to support new growth programs
  • Work with corporate experts to implement new coating materials

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in a science or engineering discipline
  • One year of industrial or academic process engineering experience
  • Possess a Master's degree or higher in material science, chemistry, or chemical engineering
  • Coating materials understanding, including photopolymerizable and water-based chemistries
  • Process understanding of web-based coating and film production
  • Experience with coating and extrusion replication
  • Ability to prioritize time and manage multiple tasks
  • Experience in R&D laboratory or plant settings
  • Comfort with a dynamic, hands-on work environment
  • Experience with nanoimprint or nanoimprint lithography (NIL) processes
  • Demonstrated strong troubleshooting and creative problem-solving skills
  • Willingness to travel to plant locations as needed
  • Ability to communicate effectively in cross-functional teams

Work Location: Maplewood, MN

Travel: May include up to 10% domestic/international

The expected compensation range for this position is $95,825 - $117,120, which includes base pay plus variable incentive pay, if eligible.
