Product Engineer - Business Supply Chain

The Impact You'll Make in this Role:
As a Product Engineer - Business Supply Chain, you will have the opportunity to make an impact by:
1. Maintaining awareness of customer needs and industry trends and translating those into measurable specifications and test methods for product development and manufacturing.
2. Supporting successful NPI scale up and launch of new DMSD products with capacity, capability, and cost.
3. Using Lean, Six Sigma, and Value Stream tools to drive improvements.
4. Performing capability assessments and cost estimates for new opportunities.
5. Driving process development, recommending new equipment, and modifying existing processes to support cost improvements and new product introductions.
Your Skills and Expertise:
To be successful in this role, you will need to have a Bachelor's degree or higher in a science or engineering discipline and three years of combined experience in manufacturing or product/process development in a private, public, government, or military environment.
Additional qualifications that could help you succeed in this role include technical experience in polymer film extrusion, web handling, microreplication, clean coating, lamination, slitting, rotary die converting, and/or punch press converting, as well as Six Sigma Green Belt Certification and experience utilizing statistical tools in problem solving.
Work Environment:
This role is hybrid eligible, allowing for some remote work, but requiring travel to the 3M Center in MN at least 3 days per week. May include up to 30% domestic/international travel. Relocation assistance may be authorized. Must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status.
Compensation and Benefits:
The expected compensation range for this position is $119,076 - $145,537, which includes base pay plus variable incentive pay, if eligible. In addition, this position may be eligible for a range of benefits, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, health savings accounts, disability benefits, life insurance, and paid absences and retirement benefits.
