Job Title: Certified Medical Assistant

Integrated Resources, Inc (IRI) is seeking a highly skilled Certified Medical Assistant to join our team in San Jose, CA.

Job Summary:

The Certified Medical Assistant will provide clinical support to our medical staff, ensuring the delivery of safe and efficient medical services to our patients. This role requires a strong understanding of medical procedures, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist medical staff with routine administrative and clinical duties, including scheduling appointments, greeting patients, and maintaining medical records.
  • Perform vital signs, prepare exam rooms, and maintain equipment and supplies.
  • Collaborate with medical staff to address patient needs and promote a positive patient experience.
  • Prepare patients for appointments, including setting up exam rooms and obtaining accurate histories of present illness.
  • Perform pre-exam physical tests, collect laboratory specimens, and perform routine sterilization procedures.
  • Triage unscheduled requests for physician visits and address as directed.
  • Float MA should review on-site Specialist calendar daily to ensure all available appointments are filled and address any vacancies.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of two years of Medical Assistant experience in a clinical setting with a frail or elderly population.
  • MA experience working in the Home Health/Clinical Setting.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish.
  • High School Diploma or Equivalency.
  • 2-year degree program in Medical Assistance Accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Program (CAAHEP) or the Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools (ABHES).
Certifications & Licensure:
  • Current MA Certificate.
  • Certification by a Medical Assistant Certifying Organization approved by the State Medical Board.
