Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure the reliability and functionality of the enterprise voice communications network. This includes the installation, maintenance, and management of all voice-related equipment such as servers, gateways, PBX switches, phones, circuits, wiring, and backup systems.
  • Lead the planning and execution of enterprise unified communications projects.
  • Provide mentorship and training to junior engineers and technicians.
  • Design and enhance Cisco unified communication architectures; troubleshoot issues; create comprehensive functional and technical design documentation; and establish standards that align with engineering specifications and industry best practices.
  • Collaborate with vendors, clients, carriers, and technical teams on VoIP implementations, optimizations, security measures, and ongoing management, including troubleshooting infrastructure and services.
  • Ensure the overall technical capabilities, stability, and performance of the systems.
  • Offer recommendations for the design and implementation of VoIP enhancements.
  • Produce and maintain essential technical documentation, ensuring all work activities are accurately recorded in tracking systems.
  • Monitor design, programming, and application standards, ensuring compliance with internal policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree is required.
  • Preferred certifications include CCNA Voice, CCNP Voice, or CCIE Collaboration.
  • A minimum of 6 years of experience with technologies such as VoIP, Call Manager, Unity, and voice gateways.
  • At least 5 years of experience in implementing voice solutions.
  • 5 years of experience in designing domestic call routing using Cisco VG, CME, CUE, and CCM.
  • 5 years of experience supporting contact center operations.
  • 5 years of experience with Voice Cloud Technologies.
  • 5 years of experience with WEBEX Video Conferencing technologies.
  • Strong background in network administration and architecture.
  • Proven experience in drafting voice and network security policies, standards, and procedures, as well as utilizing network analysis tools to identify root causes of voice issues.
  • Experience with voice recording integration with third-party solutions.
  • Ability to provide low-level design details for unified communications solutions.
  • Basic knowledge of LAN and WAN network routing and switching.
  • Experience in implementing QOS policies across the enterprise for data, voice, and video solutions.
  • Familiarity with disaster recovery plans and related technologies.
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including after-hours and weekends as needed, and participate in an on-call rotation.
  • Availability to travel up to 25% of the time.
