We are seeking an experienced Lead Arborist and Team Supervisor to join our team at Atlas Tree. This is a non-union position that offers a competitive salary and benefits package.

Atlas Tree is a leading provider of arboriculture services in the industry. We pride ourselves on our ability to attract and retain qualified personnel, regardless of their age, race, color, religion, gender, national origin, disability, sexual orientation, gender identity, military or veteran status, or other protected characteristics as established by federal, state or local law.
Responsibilities:
- Lead Team through Essential Daily Functions: The Lead Arborist will be responsible for leading a team of arborists through essential daily functions to perform projects safely and efficiently.
- Perform Required Ground, Climbing, and Aerial Lift Duties: The Lead Arborist will perform all required ground, climbing, and aerial lift duties in support of specific job assignments, as directed by the crew leader/General Foreman.
- Assist in Specialized Pruning and Take-downs: The Lead Arborist will assist in the performance of specialized pruning and take-downs, installing cabling and bracing.
- Safely Operate Equipment: The Lead Arborist will safely operate equipment such as chainsaws, chippers, trucks, and hand tools.
- Participate in Job Site Safety Briefings: The Lead Arborist will participate in all job site safety briefings.
- Demonstrate Safe Climbing Techniques: The Lead Arborist will demonstrate and perform safe climbing techniques and procedures, pruning skills, application of approved knots and rigging techniques.
- Assist with Driving and Parking Duties: The Lead Arborist will assist with driving, backing, dumping, and parking duties.
Requirements:
- Certifications and Qualifications: CDL Class A license preferred, not required; ISA Certified Tree Worker preferred.
- Experience and Skills: 4+ years industry experience; knowledge of proper pruning practices, including large shade trees and ornamentals; knowledge of native and introduced tree and shrub species and characteristics of each species; knowledge of chain saw safety and operation; adept in tree climbing & bucket truck operation.
- Personal Qualities: Integrity and professionalism; able to work independently and in a group; able to learn quickly and follow instructions accurately; ability to adhere to safety requirements.
