Key Responsibilities

- Deliver professional nutritional services in accordance with state regulations and professional standards to cater to the unique needs of patients. Ensure compliance with relevant laws, company policies, and healthcare standards while working under general supervision.
- Conduct patient interviews and assess their nutritional status. Identify dietary needs and communicate findings to the patient's healthcare team.
- Collaborate with physicians to establish dietary requirements and prepare therapeutic diets tailored to patients' specific needs.
- Provide guidance and support to patients and their families to help them understand and adhere to dietary modifications prescribed by healthcare providers.
- Educate patients and families on dietary restrictions and potential interactions between medications and nutrients.
- Monitor patients' responses to dietary interventions, document changes in their condition, and advise healthcare professionals accordingly. Adjust nutritional plans as needed based on patient status and physician directives.
- Safeguard the confidentiality of patient records and documentation.
- Enhance clinical practice skills through participation in staff development and continuing education initiatives.
- Engage in quality assessment and improvement activities as assigned, contributing to data collection and identifying areas for enhancement.
- Uphold the highest standards of professional conduct regarding confidential information, sharing details only when appropriate and in the best interest of the patient.
- Comply with the company's mandatory privacy and compliance programs.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

- Degree in Nutrition or equivalent required.
- Current Registered Dietitian licensure/certification in the applicable state(s) required.
- A minimum of six months of relevant experience typically required.

Compensation

Hourly Rate: USD $65.00
