This position is responsible for spearheading the strategic development of the enterprise's technical landscape. The architect will mentor junior team members and contribute to performance assessments. This role involves leading the analysis of challenges, pinpointing root causes, and formulating essential work products. The architect will deliver innovative technical solutions for network and voice (Unified Communications) infrastructure, encompassing LAN, WAN, cellular, and wireless technologies. Additionally, the architect will design, manage, and evaluate disaster recovery strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Change and Release Management: Proactively communicates infrastructure changes to all stakeholders effectively. Establishes and upholds rigorous testing and deployment protocols for IT. Generates and presents metrics on the success and impact of changes.

2. Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity: Ensures the network operations environment is consistently available, focusing on critical systems. This includes evaluating new technologies and methodologies. Schedules quarterly tests and updates documentation, providing management with comprehensive reports.

3. Capacity, Configuration, and Architecture Management: Develops the strategic roadmap and standards for Cisco LAN, WAN, telephony, PBX, wireless, and firewall environments. Documents all standards and configurations meticulously. Responsible for the design and maintenance of all main distribution frames (MDFs) and intermediate distribution frames (IDFs). Proactively manages system capacity using monitoring tools and statistical analysis, generating lifecycle recommendations and funding requests. Collaborates with the Service Desk to ensure 24/7 on-site support.

4. Availability and Incident Management: Ensures timely resolution of issues related to IT systems, both hardware and software. Maintains system operations in compliance with all regulatory standards, with a primary focus on confidentiality and security regulations. Addresses challenges related to disaster recovery, Active Directory, DNS/WINS, DHCP, Cisco IOS, telephony systems, voicemail, WAN, and firewalls.

Qualifications:
  • Proven experience with Cisco IOS, Active Directory, DHCP, DNS, FTP, TFTP, SMTP, SNMP, and network hardware, alongside expertise in system design and capacity management.
  • Experience in Cisco system design, wireless telephony, third-party PBX systems, PRI/Smart trunk configuration, and capacity planning.
  • Hands-on expertise with Cisco equipment, firewalls, cabling infrastructure, and WAN circuits.
  • Ability to articulate the impact and solutions of application/system issues in business terminology.
  • Proficient in resolving issues by either executing the necessary work or coordinating resources for comprehensive problem management.
Compensation:
The hourly and salary range provided is based on market standards and is contingent upon the organization's requirements and the candidate's qualifications:

$60-70/hr and competitive salary.
