Audiology Technician

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Audiology Technician to join our team at University of Utah Health. As a key member of our audiology clinical operations, you will play a vital role in assisting our Audiologists and Otolaryngologists with administrative duties.

• Check in new hearing aids and cochlear implants, preparing them for fitting and ensuring all necessary documentation is complete.
• Manage patient hearing aid returns, working with manufacturers to repair and communicate updates to patients.
• Provide exceptional customer service to walk-in patients, offering HA cleaning and checks, as well as troubleshooting and resolving issues.
• Process hearing aid payments, posting them in our system and reconciling collections daily.
• Schedule follow-up appointments and communicate with patients via phone or electronic medical records.
• Manage scanning of all documents, including clinical and financial documentation.
• Oversee audiology inventory, including incoming and outgoing devices, and coordinate CI distribution to providers.

• One year of office experience, customer service experience, or the equivalency.
• Current, valid Utah driver's license at time of hire may be required in some areas.
• Preferred qualifications include experience working in audiology practice or with hearing devices, post-secondary education, and strong communication skills.
