Job Summary

Muskegon Community College is seeking a qualified Adjunct Microbiology Instructor to join our team. As an Adjunct Instructor, you will be responsible for teaching and facilitating student learning in our Microbiology department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teach assigned courses, including day, night, and online classes, at our main campus and extension centers.
  • Establish and promote an effective learning environment that maximizes student learning.
  • Prepare and submit reports related to student learning.
  • Grade assignments in a meaningful way and return graded assignments to students in a timely manner.
  • Provide educational assistance to students during regularly scheduled office hours or by appointment.
  • Encourage student opinion survey completion and review summary information to assist with increasing student success.
  • Maintain levels of professional knowledge and expertise, including compliance training.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements

To be considered for this position, you must have a Master's Degree in Biology or a related subject area, or 18 credits in the specific discipline. Prefer teaching experience at the college level and demonstrated ability to work with diverse populations.
