We are seeking a skilled Diagnostic Imaging Specialist to join our team at RWJBarnabas Health. As an Ultrasound Examination Technician, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic ultrasound examinations and providing high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Screen requisitions to ensure proper exams are being ordered and proper prep is called to the Nurse taking care of the patient.
- Maintain proper workflow and ensure that all exams are completed in a timely manner.
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with Radiologists and sonographers to ensure seamless communication and collaboration.
- Assist in the day-to-day operation of the department, including training fellow sonographers and students on complex and new techniques.
- Initiate service calls and document all exams in a timely manner.
- High school graduate or equivalent required.
- Graduate of an Accredited Ultrasound School required.
- ARDMS Certification required.
- CPR certification required.
- Minimum three years experience in a hospital setting performing ultrasound examinations.
- RVT certification preferred.
