Job Summary

As a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) in our Christus Health Clinic, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care under the supervision of a physician or registered nurse. Key Responsibilities
  • Provide patient care services, including vital sign collection, weighing patients, and collecting specimens, in accordance with established standards and practices.
  • Perform various lab procedures as necessary and in accordance with competency.
  • Assist providers in examination and treatment of patients, as well as with procedures.
  • Assist with patient flow through the clinic, ensuring a smooth and efficient experience.
  • Answer phone calls, record messages, and assist providers with patient-related calls.
  • Schedule test appointments, results, and pre-certification as needed.
  • Document patient information accurately and thoroughly.
  • Assist providers with medication refills and administer medications/immunizations as ordered.
  • Clean and restock exam rooms, as well as clean equipment in accordance with policy.
  • Order stock supplies from the supply department, maintaining sterile technique and utilizing universal protocol.
  • Perform routine clerical duties, including locating patient charts, filing, and completing routine forms.
  • Attend and complete required meetings and in-service training, as well as perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • CERT LVN License in the state of employment or compact.
  • BLS certification.
