Job Summary:
As a Licensed Vocational Nurse Clinic, you will provide high-quality patient care under the supervision of a physician or registered nurse in a clinic setting. You will perform various lab procedures, obtain vital signs, and assist with patient flow through the clinic.
Key Responsibilities:
- Meet the expectations of the OneCHRISTUS Competencies: Leader of Self, Leader of Others, or Leader of Leaders.
- Under the direction of the physician, perform basic patient care duties, including obtaining vital signs, weighing patients, and collecting specimens.
- Assist providers with examination and treatment of patients, as well as with procedures.
- Answer phone calls, record messages, and assist providers with patient-related calls.
- Assist with scheduling test appointments, results, and pre-certification.
- Document patient information.
- Assist providers with medication refills.
- Administer medications and immunizations according to provider order.
- Clean and restock exam rooms, and clean equipment in accordance with policy.
- Perform routine clerical duties, including locating patient charts, filing, and completing routine forms.
- Attend and complete required meetings and in-service training, and perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- CERT
- LVN License in the state of employment or compact
- BLS
