Position Overview

Summary
The Redeemer Children's Center & Preschool is seeking dedicated individuals who are passionate about nurturing young minds. We are expanding our exceptional team of educators and are looking for candidates who can contribute to a supportive and enriching environment for children. Ideal candidates will assist the teaching staff and Director in fostering a safe and engaging atmosphere, while also participating in activities designed to enhance the quality of care and education provided to our students. Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively in a team setting are essential. Above all, a genuine love for children is a must.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create and uphold a safe and healthy learning space that promotes each child's growth and development.
  • Build and maintain positive, professional relationships with children and their families.
  • Communicate effectively with parents and collaborate as part of the school/parent team.
  • Assist in planning and executing developmentally appropriate activities.
  • Maintain a personal professional development plan to ensure ongoing quality improvement.
  • Oversee the cleanliness, organization, and availability of classroom materials.
  • Adhere to all licensing regulations and preschool policies and procedures.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 6 months experience in a licensed childcare environment.
  • Ability to engage with children on their level and lift up to 35 lbs.
  • Successful completion of background checks and health screenings.
  • Understanding of child development principles.
  • Strong teamwork skills.
  • Certification in Infant/Child CPR and First Aid (cost covered by the Preschool).
  • Commitment to ongoing training and professional development (also funded by the Preschool).
  • Must be at least 18 years old and possess a high school diploma or GED.
  • Share routine responsibilities with fellow staff members.
  • Provide daily attention and affection to all children.
  • Participate in all scheduled teacher workdays.

Preferred Qualifications
Experience in a licensed childcare facility and a background in Early Childhood Education are advantageous.

Compensation and Benefits
Compensation is based on experience and education, starting at $14 for candidates with no prior experience or education beyond a high school diploma or GED. Additional benefits include childcare discounts, complimentary training, and professional development opportunities.
