Job Summary

VC5 Consulting is seeking a highly skilled Network Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our Infrastructure team, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining a stable and secure network infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities
  • Network Design and Implementation
    • Design and implement network architectures that meet the company's business needs and ensure high availability and security.
  • Network Operations
    • Monitor and maintain network performance, identifying and resolving issues in a timely manner.
    • Implement industry-standard best practices for network security, including firewalls, intrusion detection, and encryption.
  • Collaboration and Communication
    • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including development, operations, and security, to ensure seamless integration and communication.
    • Provide expert-level technical guidance and support to internal stakeholders.
  • Project Management
    • Lead and manage projects related to network infrastructure, including upgrades, migrations, and new deployments.
    • Develop and implement project plans, timelines, and budgets.
Requirements
  • Technical Expertise
    • 7+ years of experience in designing, implementing, and maintaining network infrastructure.
    • Expert-level knowledge of network protocols, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and BGP.
    • Experience with network security, including firewalls, intrusion detection, and encryption.
  • Soft Skills
    • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks.
    • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Industry Certifications
    • CCNA or CCNP certification.
    • Experience with Cisco, Juniper, or other network equipment vendors.
  • Education
    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
