About the Role

ITS - Integrated Talent Strategies is seeking an experienced Litigation Support Specialist to work in the Torrance, CA area. Responsibilities:
  • Document Preparation: Prepare, edit, and proofread various documents (correspondence, agreements, and pleadings).
  • Litigation Management: Work with attorneys to keep litigation advancing in each case, including taking the initiative to regularly update team members on the status of cases and quickly alerting attorneys to important client and case needs.
  • Discovery Assistance: Assist attorneys with discovery, including discovery requests, depositions, and issuing subpoenas.
  • Document Review: Assist with document review and analysis through various platforms.
  • Case File Management: Manage electronic case files using a document management system (iManage) to ensure information is organized and easy to locate.
  • Trial Preparation: Prepare for trial, including compiling trial materials, coordinating witnesses, preparing and issuing trial subpoenas, preparing and managing exhibits, and attending trial.
Qualifications:
  • Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree, Paralegal Certificate, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Litigation Experience: 5+ years of litigation law firm experience (defense experience preferred).
  • Travel Requirements: Ability to travel nationwide to attend trial.
  • Billing and Finance: Familiarity with and ability to follow client billing guidelines, enter and record accurate billing entries.
  • Organizational Skills: Organized and detail-oriented.
  • Independent Judgment: Able to anticipate challenges and exercise independent judgment to make sound decisions and take effective action.
  • Physical Demands: Capable of lifting 30 lbs. (files and boxes).
