**Salary:** $149,700 - $224,500 per annum, with potential for additional incentives based on performance.


**Job Description:**

We are seeking a highly skilled Radiation Effects Expert to join our team in Roy, Utah. As a key member of our Ground Based Strategic Deterrent (GBSD) program, you will utilize your expertise in radiation effects modeling and testing to design systems capable of operating in extreme environments.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Developing and implementing radiation effects models and simulations to ensure system reliability and safety.
  • Guiding and mentoring a team of engineers in nuclear weapon effects modeling and parts/equipment testing.
  • Conducting radiation transport testing, including x-ray thermal shock testing.
  • Evaluating total dose, dose rate, neutron displacement damage, and single event effect testing results.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics field from an accredited university.
  • Minimum 14 years of experience in modeling and testing related to radiation effects, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 8+ years of experience in nuclear weapon effects modeling and parts/equipment testing.
  • Active DoD Secret clearance with investigation within the last 6 years.
  • Ability to obtain Top Secret clearance.

**Location:** This position will be located in Roy, Utah, and requires occasional travel for work-related activities.


**Estimated Salary Range:** The salary range for this position is between $149,700 and $224,500 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience.
