Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and licensed Athletic Trainer to join our Orthopaedic Clinic team at Dartmouth Health. As an integral member of our patient care team, you will work closely with our supervising physicians to deliver high-quality, safe, and patient-centered care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the flow of patients in the department, ensuring efficient and timely care.
  • Maintain adequate stocking of supplies in designated rooms and clinical work areas.
  • Ensure the cleanliness and general appearance of examination and treatment areas, including equipment and instruments.
  • Assist in ordering clinic supplies as directed or assigned.
  • Review assigned provider schedules to ensure receipt of records and accuracy of pre-appointment radiology appointments and orders.
  • Perform computerized order entry and charging for appropriate services as indicated by provider or written protocols.
  • Assist in prior authorizations as directed.
  • Prepare patients, rooms, and equipment for procedures and exams.
  • Conduct brief interviews and histories, obtain vital signs, perform basic screening/diagnostic measures, and collect and process specimens.
  • Provide patient education on durable medical equipment, including training on the use of assistive devices.
  • Prepare and educate patients on home exercise programs.
  • Assist in clinic procedures such as aspirations and injections.
  • Perform cast removal, suture/staple removal, and other assigned duties.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Athletic Training required.
  • Current certification through the Board of Certification, Inc. for the Athletic Trainer.
  • Must be licensed or eligible for licensure as an Athletic Trainer in the State of NH.
  • BLS Certified.
