We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Pediatric Intensive Care Unit Nurse to join our team at Kaiser Permanente. As a Pediatric ICU Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care to critically ill children and their families.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement individualized plans of care for pediatric patients
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure seamless care transitions and effective communication
- Monitor and manage patient vital signs, medication, and treatment plans
- Provide emotional support and education to patients and families
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction
- 1 year of recent experience in Pediatric Intensive Care Unit or successful completion of a KP PICU course
- Pediatric Chemotherapy & Biotherapy Provider Certification within 36 months of hire or Oncology Nursing Society (ONS) Provider Certification within 36 months of hire
- Registered Nurse License (California)
- Basic Life Support and Pediatric Advanced Life Support certifications
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
- Certified Pediatric Critical Care Nurse (CCRN)
- Experience in Family-Centered Care
