About the Role

As a Senior Production Supervisor, you will lead and support a culture of safety, standardize operations on all shifts, changeover standardization/urgency, focus on scrap management, drive an operator-based 5S culture, improve accountability, improve individualized coaching, develop succession plans within the shifts, foster quality, lean, and safety culture. You will direct supervision of daily operations such as staffing, quality control, and schedule adherence. You will lead by example to hit targets (in order of priority) in safety, quality, service, cost, and production. When goals are missed, you will understand why and have suggestions for improvement. You will hold the team accountable to following established procedures and conforming to conduct standards. You will be an enabler for the team to drive process improvements. You will ensure effective employee relations. You will mentor Lead Operators and production team. You will balance quality, safety, morale, productivity, and cost to achieve positive results in all areas. You will be responsible for the effective training, qualification, proficiency, and overall performance management of employees. You will build a team that is dedicated and committed to excellence, with open communication, where all team members have a voice.

Qualifications

5-8 years of supervisory experience in a lean manufacturing/production environment. At least an Associate degree is required. Experience overseeing the daily operations of your team, including staffing, quality control, and schedule adherence. Ability to meet KPIs: scrap reduction, improve safety behaviors, increase labor retention, labor utilization, improve product quality, reduce downtime, TRIR, OSHA recordables, etc. Proven track record of leading, training, and coaching direct reports. Technical and mechanical aptitude with troubleshooting skills. Excellent multitasking abilities with a focus on prioritization. Results-oriented with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), ERP experience, SAP is a plus.
