Job Overview
The Production Technician will play a crucial role in the pharmaceutical production workflow, ensuring that operational targets are achieved while upholding stringent quality benchmarks.
This position entails involvement in various production tasks, including inventory oversight, preparation, filling, inspection, labeling, and packaging, while also assisting in the development of efficient operational processes and maintaining compliance with quality management systems.
Key Responsibilities- Assist in the daily manufacturing activities, including media fills and production tasks.
- Adhere to safety protocols and wear appropriate protective gear in controlled environments, completing necessary training for garment certification.
- Ensure that production timelines are adhered to while maintaining high quality and efficiency standards. Note that first shift hours may be extended based on operational needs.- Aid in the procurement and organization of manufacturing supplies to guarantee uninterrupted daily operations.
- Support the introduction of new methodologies and the enhancement of existing practices to boost productivity and efficiency.
- Collaborate with Quality Assurance and Quality Control teams to uphold quality management system standards, including investigations and compliance measures.Qualifications and Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional training is a plus.
- Reliable, capable of multitasking, possessing strong communication skills, and able to work effectively within a team.
- Experience in sterile injectable production and pharmaceutical manufacturing is preferred.
- Keen attention to detail and ability to follow established procedures meticulously.
- Basic knowledge of quality management systems and regulatory standards in the pharmaceutical industry.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience with contract manufacturing organizations, international teams, start-ups, or combination products is advantageous.
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced setting while managing multiple tasks effectively.
Physical Requirements
- Regularly sit, grasp items, and perform keyboarding for computer operations.
- Stand, walk, bend, reach, or otherwise move about frequently.
- Occasionally lift, move, or transfer items weighing up to 40 lbs., and frequently handle items over 20 lbs.
- May experience exposure to typical manufacturing physical hazards.
- Frequent travel by air or car may be required.
