As a Step Down Unit Nurse Specialist, you will provide specialized care for patients transitioning from critical care. This role requires a high level of expertise and attention to detail, ensuring optimal outcomes for patients in the Step Down Unit setting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess, monitor, and treat patients in the Step Down Unit, utilizing your knowledge of patient care and medical procedures.
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement comprehensive patient care plans.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure seamless care coordination.
  • Administer medications, perform procedures, and provide education to patients and families on post-intensive care recovery and self-care techniques.

Requirements

  • Current RN license
  • BLS certification
  • Two years of recent Step Down experience
  • Strong communication and adaptability skills
