- Classroom Management: Establish a developmentally appropriate room arrangement, decor, and learning environment in the classroom.
- Parent Communication: Plan formal and informal parent conferences with the Director's guidance, ensuring that parents are informed of their child's progress.
- Staff Supervision: Supervise and direct the activities of assistant teachers assigned to the classroom, mentoring them to develop the required skills and expertise.
- Center Operations: Maintain accurate and current records of each child's developmental milestones, student accidents, and attendance, ensuring compliance with state regulations.
- Team Collaboration: Actively participate in center events, staff training sessions, meetings, and programs, demonstrating a commitment to teamwork and collaboration.
- Education: A Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Associate's degree in Early Childhood Education, a CDA, or previous experience working with children in a developmental setting.
- Licensure: Must meet or exceed state licensing requirements for age, education, and experience.
- Certifications: Must maintain a current CPR/AED/First Aid certificate and a current Food Handlers certificate.
- Professional Development: Must maintain 30 hours of professional development each year.
